Herman was my pet, he was a very special pet but today was his last day. Herman was a cake, or the essentials to make a cake at least.

I’d feed him and stir him the same way somebody would feed their dog and take it for walks. Herman was a wonderful pet.

All things come to an end though and Herman has met his about an hour ago. 10 days into his life he was so big I split him into four new little Hermans. One of which is in my oven now  becoming a real life cake, I like to think of this as the original Herman. As for the other three? One will stay with me to replace the gap in my heart left by Herman and hopefully I’ll find other loving homes for the two left over.
